If you classify yourself as a foodie, or someone who loves trying new and different foods, you may be curious where you can go to find the best dining. Zumper, a home and apartment rental platform, recently did a study to determine the best cities for foodies.

Have you been to one of the top 5?

  1. Portland, OR Ranked well in 3 of the 4 categories, Portland has a high concentration of both restaurants and bars per capita, as well as a high percentage of 4+ star Yelp reviews.
  2. Portland, ME – Ranked high in 3 of the 4 categories as well, Portland sees a high percentage of restaurants per capita and 4+ star Yelp reviews, but ranks lower in bars per capita.
  3. Seattle, WA – Topped the list due to its high number of restaurants per capita.
  4. Ashville, NC – In the top 5 due to its high percentage 4+ star Yelp reviews, followed closely by restaurants and bars per capita.
  5. New Orleans, LA – The only top ranked city in the South, it scored the highest in bars per capita, followed by restaurants and Yelp reviews.

Other cities who ranked the highest overall include:

  1. San Francisco, CA
  2. Urban Honolulu, HI
  3. Beverly Hills, CA
  4. Costa Mesa, CA
